Adobe Firefly Foundry: companies train a private generative model on their own intellectual property - branded, protected, production-ready.
- Adobe announced Firefly Foundry: a company trains its own private generative model on its own intellectual property (October 28, 2025).

- Among the partners is Walt Disney Imagineering; positioned as 'pixel-perfect, brand-protected.'
I've spent twenty years working with other people's brand books. You know the documents - colors, spacing, ten rules and one person who breaks them on a Friday night. Adobe MAX 2025 landed right here. It turned them into a model. Firefly Foundry trains a private generative model on a company's own intellectual property. That model 'remembers' the brand's visual identity and is commercially safe for outside use.
This is where my eye catches. Until now, the brand book was a document a person applied. Now identity becomes a model that generates on-style by default. Brand consistency shifts from the hand to the tool.
The big brands win here - they have the licensed assets to train a model on. For the small player it comes out pricier. And one design question remains that the model doesn't solve: a brand lives not just by staying true to itself, but by the exact moment it's deliberately broken. The taste for when to break it still belongs to a person.
Requires licensed assets to train on - more accessible to big brands than to small studios.
