On 30 September Cloudflare put Pay Per Use into beta: an AI company offers a price for a specific use of content, the publisher accepts or declines, the buyer reports each use, and Cloudflare bills and pays out. The same day Monetization Gateway entered closed beta for charging agents through HTTP 402.

On 29 September Stripe said that Meta's Muse, Grok Bot and Instinct now pay with Link's wallet for agents, and that agentic purchases through it grew 38 times in a month, per the company. Three things are added: flexible approval of the amount, spending analysis and protection if the agent gets it wrong.

On 28 September Mark Zuckerberg announced Meta Enterprise Platform, "the next major pillar" of Meta's business. At first it will bring the Muse agent, Meta Business Agent, Muse API and Muse Code to companies. Chirantan "CJ" Desai takes charge, reporting directly to Zuckerberg.

In the Project Swap experiment, 201 Anthropic employees sent Claude agents to trade books for them. After a five-minute chat the agent ordered pairs of books the way the person did in 61% of cases. The biggest loss was not in the haggling but in how well the agent had understood the person.

The ECB's public survey on the ten finalists closed on 21 September with 9.96 million responses. That is 2.6% of the euro area population. The design decision is expected around the end of 2026, and the new banknotes should enter circulation gradually from the early 2030s.

On 21 September the ECB and the national central banks launched Pontes - a bridge between blockchain platforms for securities and central bank money. The first banks and operators can use it immediately, and the full feature set is expected by 2028. The ECB itself said it is preparing to invest a small portion of its own funds in tokenised securities through Pontes.

Stripe's explanation is simple: compute is easy to resell. A stolen card number can buy tokens or a subscription, the access is sold on, and when the real cardholder disputes the charge, the loss stays with the company.
