The site is free, ad-free, tracking-free and has no paywall. And it asks nothing of you.
Who pays for it
CODE. That is the whole answer. No advertiser, no sponsor, no subscription and no donations.
Which is why nothing here is written with an eye on who will be pleased by it.
What follows from that
Everything is open to everyone. There is no content for some and not others.
Nobody can buy influence over what I write. If tomorrow I have to write something inconvenient about someone, I will write it.
When I get something wrong, it stays out in the open on the corrections page.
No third-party scripts
Not a single third-party script or cookie enters the page. No analytics, no profiling, no login. The fonts are on our own server, so your browser does not knock on anyone else's door.
There is one exception and it is technical: the site sits behind Cloudflare, which serves it faster and shields it from flooding. Requests pass through them. We say so because it is true - the detail is in Privacy.
Beyond that, what you read here stays between you and the page.
