A football clip needs a crowd cheering, a ball dropping, and the same crowd booing seconds later. Until now, ElevenLabs writes, getting all of that from one prompt took trial and error. SFX v3 is their new sound effects model, built for exactly such scenes. You describe the scene to the end, and more of the sounds you listed should make it into the clip.
Fact
The facts: on 29 October 2026 ElevenLabs released SFX v3, its newest sound effects model. According to the company, it handles prompts that describe several sounds more reliably, generates music and vocals more convincingly, and produces cleaner, more natural audio than SFX v2 in benchmark testing. The company gives no numbers and does not name the test. In ElevenCreative, effects from a text prompt are made in Flows, the Sound Effects tab, Studio and the Music Editor. The model can also be tried in the ElevenLabs mobile app. Developers use it through ElevenAPI.
The second part is about the quality of a single sound. A gong needs its resonance, a chime its ring, and a whistle should hold its tone without turning harsh or crackly. According to ElevenLabs, v3 is less likely to produce such unwanted artifacts on gongs, chimes and whistles. Generation with music and vocals is improved too: a musical phrase or a vocal performance can be paired with environmental and everyday sounds.
A scene is rarely one sound. The hard part is hearing them together.
What the page does not say: the API price, what the improvement was measured against, and whether SFX v2 stays available. Until there is a number, "better" is ElevenLabs' claim.
The test is the scene you actually need. Give it all its sounds and listen for the ones missing from the clip.
