A humanoid moved 100,000 totes in a real warehouse

Agility Robotics · event date: 20 November 2025Robotics

Agility Robotics: Digit passed 100,000 totes in GXO's warehouse - the first humanoid to prove high-volume, reliable performance in real logistics.

In short
  • Agility Robotics: the humanoid Digit passed 100,000 totes in GXO's warehouse (20 November 2025).
  • Not a demo: real, repeating work at a live site, several unrelated tasks in a single flow.
  • The milestone is industrial validation: proven high-volume reliability and a clear return on investment.

A hundred thousand totes passed through the same robotic hands. This isn't an ad clip - it happens every day, working alongside people. Agility Robotics' (a humanoid robot company) Digit passed that count in GXO's (a large logistics company) warehouse in Flowery Branch.

Digit performs several unrelated tasks in a single flow: moving items from an autonomous mobile robot (AMR) to a conveyor, and stacking totes at different heights. The 100,000-tote milestone is for industrial validation - proving high-volume, reliable performance and a clear return on investment (ROI).

This is where I feel the value - the number 100,000 is about repeatability, not effect. One robot picking up a tote works fine in an ad too. A hundred thousand totes, day after day, means the machine holds up shift after shift. That's a production fact now.

Logistics is the first real niche for humanoids - repetitive, physically demanding tasks that are hard to find people for. Digit doesn't impress with a flashy effect. It impresses by continuing to work. That's exactly why it's serious.
